Search engine created by teachers. This search engine requires a password. All students and teachers in the state of PA can access this site for free for the next three years. Students were given a password at school to use. Choose Nettrekker d.i and insert the username and password that was provided to you.

Wisenut
This search engine allows you to search for exact phrases and exclude words. It organizes the links back in categories. This is very useful when you are searching for broad items.

Google
A Search engine that also allows you to search for images alone. This can be very useful when that is what you are looking for!

Ask Jeeves for kids
Ask a question to find relevant sites to answer it. You will find study tools suck as a dictionary, thesaurus, almanac, biography, clip art, atlas, and math help. There is also an Ask Jeeves for adults if you click here.

A directory search of any topic you can think of! You will also find reference materials and homework help sections at this site. There is also a section of cool sites that is definately worth checking out! This search site is designed for the young they have a regular search site called Yahoo.

A carefully reviewed site with listings that have already been explored for the use of students and teachers. Many links to the top educational sites created by Librarians. Information is catagorized and indexed.

A webquide and search tool that was compiled by librarians.

Fagan Finder
This is a great place to search. You can do a regular google search at this site or search for more specific things that google may not search as well. You have a choice at this site where you want to search. You can search encarta, biography.com, a dictionary, search for audio and much more!

Beaucoup
Use this search tool to search the invisible web. Find the pages that search engines like google can't find. Since google stores information in databases it can't search other databases. This site can!

This meta searcher searches some of the major search engines such as google, yahoo, msn, and ask jeeves. It compiles the results from all these search engines for you into one search!

Visimo
Another meta searcher to use. This site also searches the other search engines.

Soople
This site lets you do an advanced search on google without having to remember the syntex that is required. You can type a word in the definitions box to define it, look who's linking to your site, search for stocks, phone numbers, images, news, and more. Basically many of the tricky google labs things are here. You can also do a normal google search here. The Best of the Web from Canada
This web site has a collection of sites for Children to use. Various subject areas are on the left hand side and each subject opens to whole page of links on that subject.

Search the Library of Congress collections
Find links to search the American Memory, Library of Congress and the Learning page sites. These are all government sites.
